I am a Teacher of English to Students of Other Languages (TESOL) Faculty member at a University in Colorado. I earned my M.A. TESOL at Monterey Institute of International Studies (MIIS) in Monterey, CA. in 2010.
Being from Colorado, I am an avid outdoorsy, activity-loving, adventurous person. I love finding new challenges like running half-marathons, hiking 14ers, scuba-diving, snowboarding, cycling and am beginning to take up some additional fun ways of enjoying the outdoors like rock-climbing and hut-tripping.
This blog was begun as a foray into reflective teaching and exploring a community of practice. It has morphed into an exploration of different experiences teaching, learning, and exploring the world. And yet again into a forum to share some of my early writings as I embark on that new adventure. Hopefully it is an intriguing repository for the variety of experiences I have had as well as a place to examine and develop lessons learned. Whatever the case, I hope it may prove helpful and I’ll look forward to any feedback.
